Agreement
By downloading or using Comic Coin (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
What the App is
Comic Coin helps you look up approximate comic book market values using optional AI estimates and/or optional PriceCharting data with your own API key (BYOK). For personal hobby use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Optional Scan to fill uses on-device text recognition from a photo you take or choose to suggest form fields (title, issue, publisher, etc.). OCR can be incomplete or wrong — always review fields before searching. Scan images are not uploaded to Comic Coin for OCR.
Not advice
Estimates are informational only. They are not formal appraisals, guarantees of sale price, or investment, tax, or insurance advice. Always verify before buying or selling.
AI estimates
- Results are non-deterministic guesstimates
- Free-tier usage may be rate- or quota-limited
- Models, limits, and availability may change without notice
PriceCharting (BYOK)
- You must have a valid right to use any API token you enter
- Your token stays on your device and is used only for PriceCharting when you choose that path
- PriceCharting’s terms apply to their service
- Comic Coin is not affiliated with PriceCharting
Acceptable use
Do not abuse or reverse-engineer the AI backend beyond normal App use, bypass quotas, or use the App to violate law or third-party rights.
Privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant accuracy of any estimate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App. Total liability shall not exceed the greater of amounts you paid us for the App in the prior 12 months (if any) or USD $25.
